Hi folks, Happy New Year! The camera battery went dead and the well travelled Toshiba developed a CPU fault, just before the clock struck midnight of the new year... Posts are going a bit slow while the new baby Mac takes over.

The truffles were served over a ricotta and spinach ravioli with a sauce of porcini mushroom, tomato, and basil, seasoned with white truffle oil. There was a side salad of rocket, tomato, and daikon. The dish was eaten with Romano cheese and freshly ground black pepper.

In hindsight, the delicate flavour of the black truffle was probably better with the salad just like what Lady X had.

The meal was meant to be a quiet but very extravagant dinner until 3 extra guests showed up at short notice. The meal was enjoyed by all, including the instant dessert of raspberry jelly and yoghurt topped with slivers of chocolate coated biscuit. The "entree" of microwave popcorn burnt in the microwave....
